What you’ll do - Prepare meals as ordered - Responsible for the preparation of all food items ensuring a high standard of taste, temperature and preparation - Assist in the preparation of several parts of a major meal by mixing and stirring, ladling, adjusting heat, etc. - Clean work areas and utensils - Perform other related work as required - Prepare your mise-en-place for next day - Assist with another station as assigned by the Chef - Collect store items as required from the main kitchen - Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and report any repair or maintenance needed - Adhere to all organisation policies and procedures

Requirements - Some knowledge of materials, methods and equipment used in preparing food on a large scale, and the use and care of utensils and equipment - Some knowledge of food values and nutrition - Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions - Ability to work under pressure
