Position Overview

This role is responsible for architecting, optimizing, and scaling the infrastructure that powers our company’s applications and services. You will lead complex projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability, security, and performance of infrastructure systems. This position requires deep technical expertise in infrastructure technologies, cloud platforms, automation, and emerging technologies.

What You’ll Do: - Architect and optimize infrastructure solutions to meet evolving business needs, ensuring scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency across on-premises and cloud environments. - Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and peers, ensuring best practices in infrastructure architecture and operations. - Develop advanced automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and incident response using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or similar. - Drive infrastructure observability and resilience, implementing proactive monitoring, alerting, and disaster recovery strategies. - Champion security and compliance by integrating advanced security controls, conducting risk assessments, and staying ahead of emerging threats. - Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align infrastructure strategies with application requirements and business objectives. - Evaluate and implement emerging technologies (e.g., AI-driven operations, container orchestration, serverless architectures) to improve efficiency and innovation. - Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure designs, standards, and operational procedures. - Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize infrastructure performance, cost, and operational excellence. - Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering technical growth and knowledge sharing.

What You’ll Bring to Zelis: - Typically has Bach. +4 yrs;  Masters +2 yrs Attends company training and regional training in area of expertise. Presents own work to members of department and external consultants and external professional meetings - Requires proficiency using AI tools skillfully with an understanding of how to develop/create intelligent prompts and/or agents. - Advanced proficiency in infrastructure technologies (servers, storage, networking, virtualization). - Deep experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid architectures. - Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Ansible, Terraform). - Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). - Familiarity with AI/ML-driven infrastructure tools and intelligent automation. - Advanced knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack). - Strong understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards. - Experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI). - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for complex infrastructure challenges. - Strong communication and leadership skills for cross-functional collaboration. - Ability to lead projects independently and influence technical decisions. - Advanced certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Kubernetes Administrator).

Location and Workplace Flexibility

Zelis is headquartered in the U.S., with multiple locations across the country and in Hyderabad, India. Check out our locations to learn more about our offices. All employee work locations are based on the needs of the position and are determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities vary based on work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies.

While location expectations vary by role, candidates within approximately 50 miles of a U.S. office are generally preferred to support collaboration when needed. Our hybrid approach is flexible, and in-office presence is guided by team and business needs rather than a fixed weekly schedule.

Base Salary Range

$101,600.00 - $139,700.00

At Zelis we are committed to providing fair and equitable compensation packages. The base salary range allows us to make an offer that considers multiple individualized factors, including experience, education, qualifications, as well as job-related and industry-related knowledge and skills, etc. Base pay is just one part of our Total Rewards package, which may also include discretionary bonus plans, commissions, or other incentives depending on the role.
