The Payroll Tax & Payroll Specialist is responsible for the setup, maintenance, and compliance of payroll tax accounts for newly established legal entities across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. This position serves as the primary liaison between the company and its third-party payroll tax vendor (ADP), managing tax notices, resolving tax-related issues, researching regulatory requirements, and ensuring accurate payroll tax reporting and filing.

In addition to payroll tax responsibilities, this role supports the processing of biweekly payroll for more than 70 legal entities and approximately 7,000 employees. The Payroll Tax & Payroll Specialist works closely with payroll team members, HR, and operational leaders to ensure accurate and timely payroll administration while maintaining compliance with applicable laws and company policies.

Key Responsibilities - Establish and maintain federal, state, and local payroll tax accounts for new legal entities. - Serve as the primary contact for payroll tax notices, audits, and agency correspondence. - Partner with the third-party payroll tax vendor to research and resolve tax issues. - Monitor payroll tax compliance and support tax account maintenance activities. - Assist with the accurate and timely processing of biweekly payroll for 70+ entities and 7,000+ employees. - Research, analyze, and resolve payroll-related questions and discrepancies. - Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and procedures. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional payroll service and support.

Qualifications - 3+ years of payroll experience, including payroll tax administration. - Knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. - Experience working with third-party payroll tax vendors. - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail. - CPP or FPC certification preferred. - Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.

*If you are located within 50 miles of Denver office, hybrid schedule 2 days per week.

Colorado Pay Range

$31.25 — $33.65 USD

This is a good-faith estimate based on the role's requirements at the time of posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for bonus and incentive compensation, the terms of which will be provided at the time of offer. The Company offers a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, vacation, sick leave, 401(k), and other benefits depending on role and location. Where required under applicable law, Company provides eligible employees with paid sick leave, health emergency leave, and other legally mandated benefits programs, all in accordance with the requirements of applicable state and local law depending on the location of the practice you support.

Colorado Pay Range
