We are seeking an experienced Finance Leader with 18–20 years of experience to lead the organization’s finance function and provide strategic financial direction to senior leadership. The role requires a strong foundation in accounting, finance, and management reporting , along with the ability to oversee financial operations, strengthen controls, drive business performance, and support critical decision-making. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong leadership, commercial understanding, and the ability to manage complex financial functions in a dynamic business environment.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities - Lead the overall finance and accounting function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial operations across the organization. - Oversee accounting activities including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, month-end and year-end closing, and financial statements. - Establish and maintain robust accounting policies, processes, internal controls, and financial governance frameworks. - Drive management reporting , preparing and presenting periodic financial reports, MIS, dashboards, variance analysis, and business performance insights for senior management. - Partner with business leaders and functional heads to understand financial performance, identify risks and opportunities, and support strategic decision-making. - Monitor revenue, costs, margins, cash flows, working capital, and overall financial performance against budgets and business objectives. - Provide leadership on financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial strategy. - Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, and internal financial policies. - Lead and mentor the finance team, establish performance objectives, and build a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement. - Work closely with senior leadership on financial strategy, business expansion, investments, cost optimization, and other major financial initiatives. - Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting systems, automation, and operational efficiency. - Coordinate with external auditors, consultants, banks, and other financial stakeholders as required. - Support risk management initiatives by identifying financial risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures.

Must-Have Skills

Accounting: Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, reconciliations, month-end/year-end closing, internal controls, and accounting processes.

Finance: Extensive experience managing finance functions, financial operations, cash flow, working capital, business performance, and financial governance.

Management Reporting: Proven ability to develop and oversee MIS, management reports, financial dashboards, variance analysis, and actionable insights for senior leadership.

Good-to-Have Skills - Tax: Understanding of direct and indirect taxation, statutory compliance, and tax planning. - Audit: Experience managing statutory, internal, and external audits and working with auditors to ensure compliance and financial accuracy. - Financial Planning: Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, scenario planning, and long-term financial planning.

Education & Experience - Experience: 18–20 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting, including significant leadership responsibility. - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline; CA/CMA/MBA Finance or equivalent professional qualification is preferred. - Strong leadership, analytical, communication, stakeholder-management, and strategic decision-making skills. - Experience working closely with CXOs and senior management in a finance leadership capacity.
