IT Security Business Analyst

Job description

- Gather, analyze and document business and functional requirements for Capital Markets / Securities applications . - Work closely with business users, technology teams, product owners and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define solutions. - Translate business requirements into BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, user stories and process flows . - Analyze securities trading and post-trade processes, including trade capture, processing, settlement, clearing and reconciliation . - Support requirements related to SWIFT securities messaging and ISO 15022 / ISO 20022 . - Analyze system interfaces, data flows, reference/static data and downstream/upstream dependencies. - Support functional testing, SIT/UAT, defect analysis and production issue resolution. - Identify process gaps, perform impact analysis and recommend functional improvements. - Ensure requirements align with applicable regulatory, compliance and securities-processing standards .

Securities Domain Expertise

Candidates should have strong knowledge of one or more of the following: - Securities Trading and Lifecycle - Equities, Fixed Income / Bonds and other financial instruments - Trade Capture and Trade Processing - Order Management / Trade Management - Settlement and Clearing - Corporate Actions - Custody and Securities Services - Reconciliation - Reference / Static Data - SWIFT Securities Messaging - ISO 15022 / ISO 20022 - Market Infrastructure and Settlement Processes - Regulatory and Compliance Requirements related to Securities Processing

Mandatory Skills - 5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant or Functional Solution Consultant. - Strong experience in Capital Markets / Securities IT . - Good understanding of SWIFT, ISO 15022 and/or ISO 20022 . - Strong combination of Securities domain knowledge and IT functional analysis . - Excellent requirement-gathering and stakeholder-management skills. - Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional specifications . - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities. - Experience working in complex Banking / Financial Services environments.
