Minimum Requirements: - 3 years of Heavy Equipment Experience (operating cable or hydraulic shovels, excavators, dozers, graders, or haul trucks in an open pit mine) - High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) or 10 years of relevant work experience - Valid driver’s license and a 2-year clean driving record - Proven safety mindset - The ability to concentrate and maintain focus for long periods of time

Responsibilities: - Operate various makes and models of haul trucks, shovels, backhoes, dozers, and/or graders in adherence to our standards and procedures - Complete walk-arounds, safety checks and field level risk assessments and ensure the heavy equipment is running properly and respectfully intervene when necessary - Train and mentor others - Report any necessary repairs to the maintenance team or supervisors and report all incidents, damage and near misses immediately - Participate in and drive continuous improvement programs

Location and other Key Details: - You will work out of our Syncrude Mildred lake or Aurora site in Fort McMurray - If you reside outside of Fort McMurray, relocation of your primary residence to within 60 km of Fort McMurray is mandatory. Relocation support will be provided; we offer competitive housing assistance to eligible individuals    - The shift schedule is a six days on/six days off rotation (three days on, three nights on, six days off; 12-hour shifts) - This position has been identified as safety sensitive - To learn more about living and working in Fort McMurray,  click here
