Job description

We are looking for a licensed Lead at our First Avenue Family Planning Health Center.

This position is for an experienced and licensed Nurse Practitioner - Physician Assistant - Certified Nurse Midwife a Clinician Team.  This role is a Lead Clinician role, with management responsibilities.

Bring your passion for reproductive healthcare to life by leading other providers and providing high-quality exams, diagnosis, treatment, education, and counseling. You’ll also be a go-to medical resource, supporting and empowering both licensed and non-licensed team members.

This role is considered Full-Time/Fully-Benefited and is designed for Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, or a Certified Nurse Midwife licensed in the state of California.

In this role, you'll get to: - Change lives. - Manage other health center clinicians to ensure the provision of high quality, cost effective medical care and excellent customer service. - Collaborate with other Healthcare providers, Physicians, and Management on patient care and clinical improvements. - Partner with a Case Management team, which will communicate with patients on lab results, referrals, and other aspects of patient care. - Gain new skills such as IUC retrievals, Nexplanon insertions, Cryotherapy, Bartholin Cyst I&D, and prescribe GAHT (Gender Affirming Hormone therapy). - Receive a rigorous training and on-boarding program similar to a fellowship. - Work in a supportive and professional nursing environment, where we believe in evidence-based protocols and guidelines. - Work for an agency that fosters a culture of engagement, growth, and success in your field. - Pursue continuing education opportunities to help you grow as a provider.

We are looking for Nurse Practitioners or a Physician Assistants or a Certified Nurse Midwives who: - Hold an active California license as a Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or a Certified Nurse Midwife. - Have more than  1 year of healthcare experience as NP, CNM, or PA. - Have previous leadership experience. - Are eager to work in an environment that supports the agency’s commitment to equity and belonging.  - Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. - Demonstrate compassion in providing patient care and supporting staff.   - Are willing to jump in to help with coverage if need be.  - Bilingual in English/Spanish (highly preferred).
