Job description

Nation Security Services LLC is seeking experienced K9 Owner-Handlers to deploy with their personally owned Explosive Detection Canines (EDC) across high-profile client locations.

In this specialized, high-impact role, you and your working dog will serve as an elite detection team safeguarding major event venues, commercial cargo facilities, maritime ports, and corporate campuses across Florida. We offer top-tier compensation starting at $40/hour , supplemented by dedicated stipends for canine care, housing, and operational travel.

Key Responsibilities - Explosive Detection Screening: Conduct systematic, high-vigilance detection sweeps and searches across assigned client facilities and critical infrastructure. - Canine Care & Welfare: Manage 24/7 care, housing, feeding, conditioning, and health for your working canine in full alignment with company standards. - Continuous Proficiency Training: Direct ongoing odor detection drills and decoy scenarios to maintain peak operational readiness for state, federal, and 3PK9 certifications. - Compliance & Reporting: Maintain meticulous daily search logs, training records, and incident reports to ensure 100% regulatory compliance. - Stakeholder Coordination: Maintain clear communication with client security directors, venue managers, and internal dispatch teams during deployments.

Requirements - K9 Ownership: Must personally own a certified or certifiable Explosive Detection Canine (50–90 lbs) with high environmental stability in loud, crowded settings. - Operational Experience: Minimum 2+ years of EDC handler experience in military (MWD), law enforcement, or high-tier private sector contract security. - Bilingual Skills: Fluent in both English and Spanish is required (written and spoken). - Legal & Vetting: U.S. Citizen or National with a High School Diploma or GED; able to pass a background check, drug screen, and secure site credentials (e.g., SIDA, TWIC). - Logistics & Equipment: Valid Driver’s License with a clean record, a vehicle suitable for safe K9 transport, and home housing meeting strict security and climate standards. - Availability & Travel: Willingness to work flexible, rotating shifts (nights, weekends, holidays) and travel regionally across Florida client sites.
