MSA Outsourcing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Junior Management Accountant to support one of our UK-based clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in day-to-day transactions, and supporting the finance department in maintaining smooth accounting operations
Key Responsibilities: - Reconcile all payments, transactions and expenses each morning to ensure financial records are accurate and up to date. - Review and ensure all invoices are correctly categorised and allocated within QuickBooks. - Collect, label and accurately process CID invoices in accordance with internal procedures. - Upload and maintain invoices and supporting documentation within QuickBooks. - Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding and overdue payments. - Manage customer and management accounts, ensuring balances, transactions and records are accurate and current. - Process card payments over the telephone when required (infrequent). - Investigate and resolve discrepancies relating to payments, invoices and account records. - Maintain accurate financial documentation and ensure records are properly organised. - Assist with general financial control and accounting administration as required. - Ensure financial processes are completed accurately, consistently and within required deadlines.
Requirements - Proven experience using QuickBooks is essential. - Previous experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping or financial administration. - Financial Controller experience or a similar senior finance background is highly preferred. - Strong understanding of reconciliations, invoicing, accounts receivable and financial records. - Experience managing customer and management accounts. - Strong attention to detail and a high level of numerical accuracy. - Excellent organisational and time-management skills. - Ability to identify discrepancies and resolve financial queries effectively. - Confident communication skills, particularly when following up on outstanding payments. - Ability to work independently and take ownership of financial responsibilities. - High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.
