The Forklift Operator will be responsible for performing various duties in the warehouse in a fast-paced lean environment, including but not limited to: - Receiving and put-away of all inbound receipts. - Loading and shipping all outbound pallets. - Picking and loading pallets for shuttle to the Ohio Kitchen. - Monitoring inventory levels of all items in designated Pick Line support locations, and refilling before inventory is depleted. - Drop, move, and put-away quality impacted pallets as directed by Tech Services. - Monitor the temperature of all areas of the warehouse and immediately notify a Supervisor if temperatures are out of tolerance. - Responsible to keep the warehouse clean, neat, and organized. - All moved products must be scanned timely and accurately so inventory records are always current and accurate. - Monitor the temperature of all areas of the warehouse and immediately notify a Supervisor if temperatures are out of tolerance. - Responsible to keep the warehouse clean, neat, and organized.
Schedule : Wednesday - Sunday from 7:00am - 3:00pm
Pay : $18.75/hour
Offer of employment is contingent upon successfully passing a pre-employment drug screen and background check, where permitted by law.
Position responsibilities include, but not limited to - Be available to work overtime if business volumes change. - Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed. - Utilize mobile handheld devices for scanning product. - Safely climb in and out of trailers. - Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently) - Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g., pallets, straps, rope.) - Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has the potential to be below freezing and may become slippery. - Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties. - Verify and complete required documentation and reports. - Adhere to company safety policies - Must treat all co-workers with respect and be professional at all times. - Safely work in cold weather conditions.
Required skills and experience - Stand-up and sit-down forklift, electric and manual pallet jack experience. - Must be at least 18 years of age. - Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently. - Good basic math skills.
Preferred skills and experience - High School Diploma or GED
Physical requirements - Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms - Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen - Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch - Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds - Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus - Able to perform repetitive movements - Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
