About The Opportunity
Gathers data and conducts analysis with the goal of improving the organization's supply chain operations. Identifies underperforming areas in the supply chain and may suggest improvements or resolutions to problems. May assist in the negotiation of supplier contracts or service arrangements. Essential Job Functions
The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all - inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. - Drive s improvement of current planning systems, functions and daily operations to more effectively meet goals - Assists with managing manufacturing capacity within a multi-state region - Design s and implement s methods to gather and manage supply chain data - Prepares and reviews required business reports - Responsible for identifying and solving issues related to production flow through data analysis - Collaborate s cross-functionally to support continuous improvement initiatives - Negotiates with carriers / suppliers to maintain cost effective capacity and service - Seek s out the most cost-efficient production procedures - Maintains industry, professional and technical knowledge by networking, attending industry events, and reviewing professional publications
Education & Experience - Bachelor’s degree required - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes - Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products - Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components - Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods - Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle - Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility
Physical Requirements & Work Environment - Primarily works in an office environment with occasional time spent in a production and/or warehouse setting - Position may be based at Menasha Packaging site or customer location
