Job description

Who we are

Melotech is revolutionizing media and entertainment. We create art through technology for humans to enjoy. In just 24 months, our work has been heard, watched and loved for over 3 billion minutes worldwide.

Founded by entrepreneur and investor Soheil Mirpour, we are backed by top VCs Cherry Ventures, Speedinvest and GFC, alongside world-class angels from firms such as Spotify, Blackstone and KKR.

What you will do

Our catalogue grows every week, and every track passes through one pair of hands before it is released. As Music Producer, you own that final mile: you combine every input into one finished record, and you are responsible for holding the quality bar high. We will walk you through exactly what we are building as you go through the process. On a typical day, your tasks may include: - Combining and finishing: taking instrumentals and vocals, aligning, tuning and editing the vocal, balancing the mix and delivering a release-ready track - Mastering: mastering every track to a consistent loudness, tone and format standard for streaming platforms, with clean metadata and stems archived - Quality review: listening to every song before it goes live, accepting it or sending it back with precise notes, and keeping a written standard everyone delivers to - Production organisation: running the pipeline from brief to final master, and knowing at any moment what is where, who owes what and what ships this week - Tooling: using stem separation, tuning, mastering and AI audio tools wherever they make the work faster and more consistent

Who you are

We're looking for a producer with an engineer's ear, or a mixing and mastering engineer who thinks like a producer. You have finished a high volume of tracks for release, and you hear what is wrong with a delivery in the first thirty seconds.

Typically, your profile will look like this: - Experience: 3 or more years producing, mixing or mastering music that was commercially released, ideally at volume (labels, distributors, production houses, library music) rather than one album a year - Mixing and mastering: you master to streaming loudness standards, you know your chain and your DAW (Ableton, Logic, Pro Tools or similar) inside out, and you can show released tracks you finished - Vocal production: you align, tune, edit and sit a vocal into an instrumental it was not recorded with, and the result sounds like one record - Quality control: you have evaluated other people's work against a standard, given structured feedback that made the next delivery better, and said no when it mattered - Organisation: you have run a production pipeline with many tracks in flight, hard deadlines and remote freelancers, and nothing got lost - Genre range: you are comfortable across country, soul, reggae and metal, and you adapt your chain to the genre instead of forcing one sound on everything - Pace: you thrive in a fast-paced and performance-oriented environment - A big plus: you have used AI music generation or stem separation tools in a real release workflow, and you follow what is happening in AI music closely

What makes this exciting

Every track we release passes through you. You set the sound and the standard for a catalogue that reaches millions of listeners, and you shape how a new kind of music production runs at scale. You're not a cog in the machine but the captain of your own ship, rewarded for performance and respected for leadership. Flat hierarchies mean that your voice matters, your ideas get implemented, and your impact is immediate.

We pay competitive salaries and make you an owner of the business with equity. We work remotely to give you complete freedom over your life, while meeting regularly around the world for global offsites where we strategize, bond, and push boundaries together.

What the process will look like

We hire on a rolling basis. Earliest starting date is always ASAP.

Once you begin our process, you can progress from start to offer within a week, depending on how quickly you can move through each stage:

1. Initial interview: 30-minute introductory call, getting to know you

2. Practical test: combine and master one track from stems we send you, plus a short written review of two deliveries

3. Founder interview: 90-minute interview with our CEO, going deep on all topics

4. Offer, contract signing and onboarding

Note: As we are still in stealth, you will learn more about Melotech as you progress through the stages. By the end of the Founder interview, you will have a full grasp of our business and the details of your role.
