A Day in the Life

As a member of the EurAsia HQ FP&A team, this position combines finance expertise with advanced analytics and digital capability to support the EurAsia Leadership Team and EurAsia Finance Leadership Team.

You will play an essential role in analyzing financial and operational performance, supporting planning and forecasting cycles, and preparing clear management reporting and executive-ready presentations. You will work closely with FP&A teams and business partners to identify key trends, risks and opportunities and provide relevant insights for leadership.

Together with the EurAsia HQ FP&A Director and team, you will translate financial results and business developments into meaningful analysis, concise commentary and compelling presentations. You will help explain performance drivers, support strategic and operational decisions, and improve the quality and efficiency of FP&A processes through effective use of reporting and analytical tools. Interpreting performance, identifying business drivers, and turning complex data into clear insights and recommendations for leadership decision-making.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: - Degree in finance, business, accounting, information systems, analytics, computer science or a related field - 3–4 years’ experience in FP&A, finance analytics, BI, reporting, automation or financial systems - Strong knowledge of financial statements, planning, forecasting and variance analysis - Strong Power BI skills, with the ability to create clear, reliable and user-friendly financial reporting and analytics - Advanced Excel skills and practical experience working with financial data and analytical tools - Experience translating business questions into well-structured analysis, reporting and actionable recommendations - Awareness of how AI and predictive analytics can support finance decision-making - Strong integrity and attention to data quality, security and responsible AI. - Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills - Able to work independently, manage priorities and collaborate in a virtual, multicultural team - Fluent written and spoken English - Willingness to travel approximately 10%.

Required Knowledge and Experience: - Advanced degree, professional finance qualification or relevant technology certification - Experience with OneStream, Hyperion, Essbase or similar planning platforms - Exposure to cloud data platforms or other enterprise data and reporting environments - Experience using automation, low-code or AI tools to improve finance processes - Curiosity about emerging analytics tools and a willingness to develop new digital capabilities - Experience in agile delivery, testing, release management, training and adoption - Experience partnering across Finance, Data & Analytics and IT in a multinational matrix organization.

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
