Job description

We’re hiring an experienced  Industrial Maintenance Technician  to support a stable, high-volume manufacturing operation in the  Chattanooga, TN area .

This is a strong opportunity for a well-rounded maintenance technician who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working independently, and taking ownership of keeping production running. You’ll be the  primary maintenance technician supporting the shift , so we’re looking for someone who can diagnose problems, make sound decisions, and communicate effectively with production leadership.

Pay: $29-30/hr base with a 15% shift differential

2nd Shift: 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM - Typically  Monday–Wednesday - Work  36 scheduled hours and get paid for 40 - Employees who complete their full scheduled shifts receive an additional  4 hours of top-up pay - Occasional 4th-day coverage may be required with advance notice - Fridays are rarely scheduled - Training:  The selected candidate will initially train on  1st shift (5:00 AM–5:00 PM) , with some Thursday hours as needed, before transitioning to 2nd shift.

Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and repair  industrial production machinery and equipment - Diagnose  mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls-related issues - Troubleshoot  single- and three-phase electrical systems, including 120/208/240/480 VAC and 24 VDC controls - Maintain and repair  conveyors, motors, gearboxes, servo motors, production equipment, and automated systems - Support troubleshooting of  industrial robotics, PLC-controlled equipment, and vision systems - Perform preventive maintenance and identify potential equipment failures before they cause downtime - Conduct root-cause troubleshooting on recurring equipment problems - Complete general facility and building maintenance as needed - Document repairs and maintenance activity accurately - Work closely with the 2nd-shift supervisor and production team to prioritize maintenance needs

Requirements - 3+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience  in a manufacturing environment - Strong  electrical and mechanical troubleshooting  ability - Working knowledge of  pneumatics and hydraulics - Comfortable troubleshooting industrial electrical systems and control voltages - Ability to read  electrical schematics, diagrams, manuals, and technical documentation - Able to work independently without another maintenance technician constantly available on the shift - Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production supervisors and operators - Proactive, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership of problems through resolution
