Data Governance Lead – Stockholm

Karo Healthcare, a dynamic and growing personal-care retail company, is all about making smart choices for everyday healthcare. With a wide-ranging portfolio across seven categories including medical products, we own and sell over 80 brands in about 90 countries. Our portfolio includes such brands as E45, Pevaryl, Lamisil, Nutravita, Decubal and many others. Our core belief in empowering people to make intelligent health decisions drives our growth strategy, blending organic expansion and M&A.

Join us at Karo Healthcare on our exciting journey. We're currently looking for a Data Governance Lead for our office in Stockholm.

What’s in it for you?

This is an opportunity to build, not simply maintain.

You’ll take the lead in establishing and scaling Karo’s enterprise Data Governance capability from the ground up. Working at the intersection of business and technology, you’ll have the autonomy and visibility to shape how data is owned, managed and used across an international, fast-growing organisation.

Your work will directly influence better decision-making, operational efficiency and Karo’s continued growth — partnering with leaders across commercial, supply chain, finance, operations, analytics and IT.

What you’ll be doing - Design, launch and drive adoption of Karo’s first formal, right-sized enterprise Data Governance framework, bringing best practice into a fast-moving commercial environment. - Lead the evaluation, selection and implementation of Data Governance and metadata solutions, including platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Databricks Unity Catalog or Collibra. - Establish clear data ownership, stewardship, roles and responsibilities across our international business units. - Partner with commercial, technology and business stakeholders to turn Data Governance principles into practical ways of working, clear business definitions and solutions that deliver measurable business value. - Lead cross-functional forums and working groups, resolving data definition challenges and driving greater consistency across markets. - Build engagement and accountability around data, empowering business leaders and teams to take ownership of their data assets. - Develop meaningful metrics for data quality and governance maturity, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. - Champion a pragmatic, value-led data culture where governance enables smarter decisions and growth rather than creating unnecessary complexity.

Requirements - Proven experience building, scaling and operationalising an enterprise-wide Data Governance programme or framework from the ground up. - Strong experience within FMCG, consumer goods, retail healthcare or another fast-paced, commercially driven environment . - Good understanding of business processes such as commercial sales, supply chain, scientific affairs and master data management. - Practical knowledge of modern data platforms such as Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric . - Experience with Data Governance, metadata, data catalog or business glossary tools such as Microsoft Purview, Unity Catalog and/or Collibra . - Strong business partnering skills, with the ability to connect commercial requirements with technology and data solutions. - Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to influence across functions, markets and seniority levels. - A pragmatic, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity, create structure and drive change. - Professional fluency in English; experience working within European or global organisations is highly valued. - Swedish language skills would be an advantage.

Benefits - Opportunity to create, grow, and encourage - Apart from a competitive salary pack, there are lots of growth opportunities to meet your personal ambitions - Flexible schedule and life work balance - Responsibility for exciting and challenging projects that have a direct, visible impact on our customers and the industry - Very positive work environment in a young, international, and motivated team - Start-up spirit while being a part of the large international organization with strong values

Karo Healthcare has a Diverse & Inclusive environment. We are looking for qualified candidates irrespective of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, race, religion, national origin, disability or age.
