Due to continued expansion, we are hiring a Reality Capture Specialist for our various projects and Head Office.

The Reality Capture Specialist will support the development, implementation and adoption of John Paul Construction’s Reality Capture capability across projects.

The role is focused on improving the use of laser scanning, model-to-site verification and digital construction technologies to support earlier identification of installation deviations, reduce rework and improve installation quality.

Acting as the dedicated point of ownership for Reality Capture within JPC, the Reality Capture Specialist will support project teams, drive adoption of company standards and procedures, increase utilisation of captured information and promote consistent delivery of Reality Capture workflows across the business.

The role will work closely with the BIM team, Engineering and project teams to help ensure Reality Capture is used as a proactive construction verification process rather than solely an as-built or handover activity.

Requirements

The role is primarily focused on construction verification, scan control, captured data review, standards implementation and project support. Innovation and future technology development remain part of the remit alongside the previous.

Key Responsibilities

Reality Capture & Construction Verification - Support implementation of Reality Capture workflows across JPC projects. - Promote earlier model-to-site verification during construction. - Support project teams in identifying and managing installation deviations from coordinated BIM models. - Increase utilisation of Reality Capture and related verification workflows. - Support development of practical construction verification reporting and best practice.

Project Support & Standards - Provide technical guidance to project teams undertaking Reality Capture activities. - Support implementation of Reality Capture standards, procedures and workflows. - Assist with project mobilisation and planning of Reality Capture activities. - Promote consistency of delivery across projects and regional offices. - Capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Scan Control & Quality Assurance - Support implementation of JPC’s Point Cloud Scanning Control procedures. - Act as the interface between BIM and Engineering teams for scan control activities. - Promote improved quality assurance, validation and data confidence. - Assist project teams in resolving Reality Capture related issues.

Drone & 360° Capture - Drive adoption of Drone and 360° capture technologies across projects. - Support project teams in the use and review of captured information. - Promote effective use of digital project records for quality, progress and verification purposes.

Innovation & Development - Support continuous improvement of Reality Capture workflows and reporting. - Monitor developments in Reality Capture and digital construction technologies. - Assist in the evaluation of emerging technologies including AI-assisted workflows, automation and robotic capture solutions.

Skills & Experience

Essential - Experience working within BIM, or Digital Construction environments. - Strong understanding of construction processes and project delivery. - Experience with Reality Capture technologies and point cloud workflows. - Experience using Leica Reality Capture software platforms. - Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. - Ability to work collaboratively across BIM, Engineering and project teams.

Desirable - Experience with Cyclone Register 360 and Cyclone 3DR. - Experience with DroneDeploy, Revizto or similar platforms. - Knowledge of survey control principles. - Experience supporting quality assurance or construction verification processes. - Interest in emerging digital construction technologies and innovation.
