Paragon Wealth Advisors, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, LLC, is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and licensed Paraplanner to join our team. This position is an important part of the financial planning process and is responsible for supporting advisors through client meetings, transactions, documentation, and follow-up. The ideal candidate has strong financial services experience, understands the importance of accuracy and follow-through, and can step into the role with a solid foundation of industry knowledge.
We are specifically looking for someone who is already licensed and experienced in a financial planning or wealth management environment . Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Advisor Support - Support Financial Advisors throughout the client planning and service process. - Participate in client meetings and assist with meeting preparation and follow-up. - Take detailed notes during client meetings and prepare clear, accurate meeting summaries. - Document client needs, action items, and follow-up responsibilities. - Coordinate follow-up activities after client meetings and ensure outstanding items are completed. - Work closely with advisors and other team members to help move client recommendations and service needs forward. - Develop a strong understanding of the practice's financial planning process and service model.
Transactions & Account Support - Execute and process client transactions accurately and efficiently. - Support account servicing and other transaction-related activities as directed by advisors. - Assist with money movement, account updates, and other operational requests. - Coordinate with internal resources and the home office to facilitate timely completion of transactions. - Track transaction and service activity and maintain accurate client records. - Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and maintained in accordance with firm and regulatory requirements.
Client Meeting Support - Attend client meetings with advisors and provide detailed administrative and planning support. - Capture important client information, decisions, and action items during meetings. - Prepare meeting summaries and coordinate post-meeting follow-up. - Help ensure client requests and advisor commitments are appropriately tracked through completion. - Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality when working with sensitive client information.
Team & Practice Support - Collaborate with advisors, planning specialists, and other team members to support client needs. - Assist with special projects and practice initiatives as needed. - Help identify opportunities to improve workflow, organization, and efficiency. - Adapt to the practice's systems, processes, and service standards while maintaining a high level of accuracy. - Contribute to a collaborative team environment and support colleagues during periods of increased activity.

Success in this role means becoming a reliable and knowledgeable partner to the advisors and a consistent resource in the client experience. You will develop a strong understanding of the practice's clients, processes, systems, and service standards while taking ownership of the details that keep client work moving forward.
The successful candidate will be able to manage transactions accurately, capture and communicate important information from client meetings, follow through on outstanding items, and anticipate what needs to happen next.

Requirements
What We're Looking For - Series 7 and Series 66 licenses strongly preferred; fully licensed candidates are preferred. - Washington Life, Accident, and Health Insurance Licensing preferred - Bachelor’s Degree is required to pursue and maintain CFP certification in the future. - Prior experience as a paraplanner, client service specialist, investment operations professional, or similar role within financial services. - Experience supporting Financial Advisors and/or working directly within a wealth management or financial planning practice. - Strong understanding of investment products, account servicing, transactions, and financial planning processes. - Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities while consistently meeting deadlines. - Strong follow-through and a proactive approach to completing tasks. - Ability to listen, learn, ask thoughtful questions, and adapt to the practice's processes. - High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential client information. - Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with advisors and other team members. - Experience with Ameriprise systems and tools is a plus, but adaptability and willingness to learn are equally important.
Benefits
Compensation & Benefits - Compensation: $82,000-$95,000, exempt, annually, based on experience, licensing, and qualifications. - 401(k) with employer contribution after six months of employment - Profit-sharing opportunity after six months of employment - Medical insurance, including multiple plan options - Transportation stipend - Paid time off based on tenure - Eight paid holidays
