Job description:
As an Stores Inventory and Shop Technician to manage our Stores Inventory and Technician in-shop operations.
Responsibilities will include, but may not be limited, to the following duties outlined below: - Inventory Management: Scan and track warehouse products using barcodes; identify, print, and apply barcodes to unlabelled products. - Work Order Management: Pull and stage materials requested by technicians, update work orders, and provide printed work orders listing all required items. - Physical Inventory: Prepare and conduct physical inventory counts, manage inventory tags, enter counts, and investigate and report variances. - Shipping & Receiving: Manage purchase order receiving, verify quantities, product numbers, pricing, and GL codes, and coordinate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies. - Product Verification: Inspect incoming shipments against purchase orders and packing slips, process incorrect or damaged items for return/replacement, and coordinate vendor order confirmations and invoices. - Inventory & System Updates: Update purchase orders, receipts, work order statuses, and backorders in Sage; maintain supporting documentation and ensure approvals are obtained. - Warehouse Organization: Label and store inventory in designated areas, including the key room, and stage materials specifically required for work orders. - Inter-Branch Shipments: Receive and verify inventory transfers from other branches, document shipments, label items with purchase order information, and distribute supporting documentation. - Transfers & Adjustments: Process inventory transfers between branches and complete inventory adjustments based on authorized branch requests. - Communication & Coordination: Liaise with vendors, branch administrators, sales teams, technicians, and accounting to ensure accurate inventory, purchasing, receiving, and shipment processes. - Duplicate Keys - Cut Keys - Use of locksmith keying tools - Cylinder keying/Rekeying - Medeco Keying/Rekeying - Rekey Safety Deposit locks - Install lock on keyboxes - Service Key Machines - Other duties as assigned
Requirements - Intermediate computer skills (particularly EXCEL) - Data entry skills - Organizational skills - Ability to work independently - Flexible and adaptable to a changing environment - Sage 300 Experience is an asset - Ability to learn technical terms - Must be able to multitask and work towards tight deadlines and multiple conflicting priorities - Forklift license is an asset
