Gallo is looking for a Superintendent to join our high-performing travel team. Principal job duties include: - Manage project costs - Manage field labor - Manage subcontractors - Achieve safe, on-time and under-budget completion of projects
Job Responsibilities - Review submittals for accuracy and compliancy - Identify potential change orders - Manage Customer relations - Conduct weekly safety meetings - Attend cost, job and project schedule review meetings - Manage manpower needs - Interpret plumbing and HVAC drawings for craft installation - Plan, schedule, and coordinate on-site functions - Perform material take-offs, ordering tools, materials, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity - Coordination of installation between trades and coordinate sub-contractor progress - Ensure all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards, MCAA work rules and Quality control guidelines. - Schedule equipment deliveries with GC and periodic inspections by governing authorities - Administer construction contract - Monitor labor reporting, job cost reviews and prepare time sheets, two-week look-a-heads, daily logs, and safety audits - Monitor project specific building information modeling, review shop drawings for accuracy and efficiency, set delivery schedules for the roll-out of shop drawings, and document any revisions to the same for as-built documents.
Requirements - Minimum 4 years verifiable experience as an HVAC or Plumbing Superintendent - At least 5 years of experience in large commercial construction (hotels, office buildings, hospitals, casinos, etc.)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Proven leadership and supervisory skills - Team Player - Organizational and planning skills - Must be detailed oriented - OSHA 10-hour certification (minimum) - Other state licenses a plus
