Product Manager – Enterprise Orchestration

Industry Product Management

New York, New York, United StatesPosted 4h ago

Job description

Job Description

Sits within a newly acquired startup building an AI-enabled, autonomous banking platform for Tier-1 financial institutions within the banking group. The Product Manager is the single-threaded product owner for Enterprise Orchestration — the durable workflow engine for long-running banking processes that never loses a step when systems fail, restart, or change. Requires deep workflow-platform and middle-office expertise, an engineering foundation, and end-to-end ownership of what we build and why. Orchestration is the clearest proof the platform does more than a core: it orchestrates the whole estate, old and new, without replacing any of it. This is not a program- or delivery-management role: client-program orchestration sits with the Forward Deployed team, and engineering owns architecture and implementation

About the Role

You will own the product strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for Enterprise Orchestration, a durable workflow platform powering complex banking operations across modern and legacy systems. You will define reusable workflow primitives, connectors, templates, and authoring experiences that enable scalable automation of middle-office banking processes. Working closely with engineering, banking operations leaders, and clients, you will translate operational complexity into governed, reusable platform capabilities. Success is measured through production adoption, operational resilience, execution accuracy, platform extensibility, and faster delivery of banking journeys.

What You Will Be Doing

• Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for enterprise orchestration capabilities.

• Prioritize banking journeys, workflow primitives, connectors, and templates based on client value and platform scale.

• Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to map complex operational workflows into reusable platform capabilities.

• Establish workflow definitions, execution semantics, versioning standards, and product acceptance criteria.

• Drive adoption of no-code and low-code orchestration experiences for business users and operations teams.

• Define requirements for durable execution, recovery, retry handling, idempotency, and auditability at scale.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver resilient workflow platforms supporting mission-critical banking processes.

• Convert recurring client needs into reusable product features rather than bespoke implementations.

• Align product contracts across ledger, customer, compliance, servicing, and operational platform domains.

• Use analytics, telemetry, experimentation, and AI-assisted workflows to inform product decisions and measure outcomes.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience owning workflow, orchestration, BPM, durable-execution, or process automation products end-to-end.

• Strong understanding of banking middle-office operations, including payments, settlement, onboarding, KYC, approvals, and exception management.

• Experience defining workflow execution models, business rules, process controls, and operational audit requirements.

• Technical product management expertise across APIs, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and platform products.

• Ability to define product requirements, acceptance criteria, service contracts, and integration standards.

• Experience working with REST APIs, event streaming platforms, workflow definitions, connector frameworks, and credential management solutions.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to simplify complex operational processes into scalable platform capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with workflow orchestration technologies such as Temporal, Cadence, BPM platforms, or comparable durable execution frameworks.

• Engineering background with hands-on experience building, operating, or supporting production software systems.

• Experience designing no-code or low-code platforms for enterprise users.

• Knowledge of payment processing, core banking platforms, regulatory compliance controls, and financial services operations.

• Familiarity with Kafka, event-driven processing, SFTP integrations, workflow DSLs, and observability practices.

• Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools for product discovery, documentation, analysis, and decision-making.
