This role will lead the regional feature development for Adaptive Cruise Control, Tailgate Warning, Active Speed Intervention, and Connected Traffic Warning. A regional feature owner works cross functionally with the global development team and numerous local DTNA teams to create regional requirements, and support development and validation.

What You Drive at DTNA - Manage high-profile global ADAS features for the North American Market: Adaptive Cruise Control, Tailgate Warning, Active Speed Intervention, and Connected Traffic Warning - Interface with key stakeholders end-to-end across the organization including product strategy, embedded software developers, product validation, and aftermarket field service. - Responsible for gathering and specifying software requirements for DTNA - Act as the local feature owner, accountable for the development progress and issue management - Act as the local feature expert - Vehicle configuration management for all North American vehicle platforms. - Support validation activities and analyze data from field test, functional test, reliability growth and customer test to generate ADAS performance metrics and resolve defects - Model and analyze performance of ADAS systems across a variety of vehicle platforms using both internal and external resources. - Communicate proactively with all involved personnel to identify problems and create solutions - Participate in and support regulatory and compliance activities relating to driver assistance and safety systems - Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development lifecycle - Ensure compliance with environmental, motor vehicle, and other regulations - Improve competitive market position by keeping abreast of state of the art developments in the commercial vehicle industry and applying knowledge to new designs
Knowledge You Should Bring - Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Control Systems or other related fields with 2-4 years of relevant experience - High level of proficiency in general office applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. - Moderate level of proficiency in engineering design review and feature-level specification authoring - Moderate level of proficiency in system validation and troubleshooting - Moderate level of proficiency in programming and control systems modeling - Moderate level of proficiency in technical feature management and cross functional engineering - Moderate level of proficiency in verbal and written skill, preparing and giving technical presentations, and status reports to various levels of management
Exceptional Candidates Might Have - Entry level proficiency of ADAS features - Entry level proficiency in vehicle communication network protocols - Familiarity with automotive regulations - German language
