Health & Safety Advisor
Location: Vaasa, Finland Working Arrangement: Rotation-based | 17 days on / 4 days off
About the Role
Crown is looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join our European team on a major mission-critical construction project in Vaasa, Finland .
You will support the delivery of roofing, cladding and façade packages, working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and clients to ensure works are delivered safely, compliantly and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities - Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across the project. - Ensure compliance with Finnish legislation, client requirements and Crown’s Health & Safety Management System. - Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety observations. - Identify risks and ensure appropriate corrective actions are implemented. - Prepare and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). - Deliver site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings. - Provide practical health and safety advice and guidance to project teams. - Monitor subcontractor health and safety performance and compliance. - Support the investigation of incidents, accidents and near misses. - Maintain accurate health and safety documentation, records and reporting. - Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and other stakeholders on health and safety matters. - Support internal and external audits and contribute to continuous improvement.
Requirements
About You - Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Advisor role within the construction industry. - Relevant Health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent . NEBOSH Diploma is desirable. - Experience within roofing, cladding, façade, building envelope or large-scale construction projects is desirable. - Data centre or mission-critical project experience is advantageous. - Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and industry best practice. - Experience with site inspections, audits, RAMS, risk assessments and incident investigations. - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Full driving licence. - Willingness to work on a rotation basis. - Currently based in Europe and eligible to work within the EU.
