Circle K Business Centre in Riga , Latvia is looking for:

Accountant for Netherlands business unit in Station Accounting Team

Type of Employment: Permanent

Location: Riga, Latvia

Visa requirements: A valid work permit from the EU/EEA

Main responsibilities: - Respond to queries from site managers, representatives of business units, and/or external partners if required; - Check, prepare and process journal entries, based on information received from the business unit and other partners; - Issue invoices to franchise stations and prepare payouts; - Answer questions from other Company units on processed financial records; - Perform periodical closing procedures; - Perform balance sheet account reconciliation and analysis, resolve discrepancies and errors; - Handle audit requests; - Execute and document process controls related to financial compliance; - Contribute to process improvement projects.

Main requirements: - Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics or a student within this area; - Previous experience in accounting, finance, or audit field; - Excellent knowledge of MS Office and willingness to learn new systems; - Excellent organizing abilities and attention to detail; - Fluent English (verbal and written); proficiency in Dutch is preferred but not required, to communicate with colleagues across Europe; - Ability to analyze things, and conduct investigations on discrepancies.
