Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift (Core Department)

Charter Casting | Shawano, WI

We're looking for a motivated and people-focused Production Supervisor to lead manufacturing operations, develop employees, and help drive a culture of safety, trust, teamwork and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Employee Development - Lead and develop production employees through coaching, mentoring, training, and performance management. - Foster a culture built on safety, accountability, teamwork, and respect. - Conduct performance evaluations and support employee growth initiatives. - Communicate expectations clearly and provide timely feedback and recognition. - Promote employee engagement and support a positive work environment.

Operations & Production - Oversee daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met. - Drive productivity, quality, and waste reduction initiatives. - Coordinate with maintenance, quality, engineering, and other departments to support operational success. - Monitor workflow, staffing, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency. - Address production challenges and implement effective solutions.

Continuous Improvement & Safety - Support and participate in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives. - Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures. - Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. - Support Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications - High School Diploma or GED. - 5+ years of manufacturing, industrial, foundry, metal processing, or related production experience. - Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience. - Strong ability to prioritize, delegate, and follow up on multiple responsibilities. - Proven coaching, employee development, and team-building skills. - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. - Ability to collaborate across departments and shifts. - Self-motivated with a strong sense of accountability and urgency. - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications - Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Metallurgy, Engineering Technology, or a related field. - 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. - Experience working within Lean Manufacturing environments. - Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or related certification. - Strong analytical and reporting skills. - Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
