Tech Specialist, Cloud Engineering

Job requirements Experience Range: with at least 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure support and cloud engineering, including hands-on expertise in Azure platform administration and related technologies Key Responsibilities: - Administer and support Microsoft ADFS, ADCS, and ADDS, ensuring reliable identity, certificate, and domain services while troubleshooting complex authentication issues - Manage DNS and DHCP services in Windows environments, maintaining consistent name resolution and network configuration for optimal performance - Administer backup solutions using Azure Backup and System Center Data Protection Manager, including backup validation, restore testing, retention management, and recovery support - Oversee storage platforms such as Dell Storage and Azure Storage Accounts, conducting capacity planning, performance optimization, and ensuring high availability - Support and administer SQL and Oracle databases at the infrastructure level, collaborating with database teams to maintain availability, backup integrity, and performance - Manage physical servers from Dell and HP, handling provisioning, health monitoring, lifecycle management, and hardware troubleshooting - Administer VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms, performing host management, VM provisioning, performance monitoring, and issue resolution - Support Windows printing services, including print server administration, queue management, and user issue resolution - Manage load balancers such as Azure Application Gateway and Standard Azure Load Balancer for service availability and traffic distribution - Administer Windows and Azure file services, including permissions, shares, access control, and service continuity - Support Linux clustering with Pacemaker, including failover, availability, and cluster health monitoring - Manage Windows and Linux server environments, including patching, configuration, monitoring, performance tuning, and security hardening - Execute patching using Azure Update Manager and Ansible, including planning, deployment, validation, and compliance tracking - Administer Trellix anti-virus protection, including policy management, threat response, and endpoint security monitoring - Use PowerShell and automation scripting to streamline administration, reporting, and operational tasks - Lead server migrations across physical, virtual, and cloud environments, including planning, execution, validation, and post-migration support Required Skills: - Azure Platform Administration (IaaS and PaaS) - Microsoft ADFS, ADCS, and ADDS administration - DNS and DHCP management in Windows environments - Azure Backup and System Center Data Protection Manager (SCDPM) - Dell Storage and Azure Storage Accounts management - SQL and Oracle database infrastructure support - VMware and Hyper-V virtualization administration - PowerShell and automation scripting - Azure Update Manager and Ansible for patching - Trellix anti-virus protection and endpoint security management - Linux clustering with Pacemaker - Windows and Linux server management - Load balancer administration (Azure Application Gateway, Standard Azure Load Balancer) - Windows and Azure file services administration Preferred Skills: - Experience with server migration tools and strategies - Advanced storage performance optimization - Expertise in backup and disaster recovery planning - Familiarity with emerging Azure infrastructure features - Experience with hybrid cloud environments - Knowledge of advanced virtualization technologies Desired Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent Azure infrastructure certification - VMware Certified Professional or relevant virtualization certification.
