One good relationship can be worth more than a hundred cold calls.
A plumber who repairs burst pipes regularly walks into water damage. A property manager with a few hundred units deals with leaks, fires, and mold more often than they'd like. An insurance agent hears about losses from clients all year long.
Each of them has to decide who to call when a property is damaged. Your job is to make sure the answer is you, before the damage ever happens.
That's the whole role: find the people who regularly run into property damage, earn their trust, and keep earning it. Do that consistently, and your pipeline keeps producing on its own.
How the Work Builds On Itself
1. Find the right partners. Identify the businesses in your territory that run into property damage most often, and prioritize the ones worth the most time.
2. Earn the relationship. Get in the door through prospecting, cold outreach, networking, and in-person visits. Have consultative conversations about how they handle losses today rather than pitching a product.
3. Deliver through the team. When a referral comes in, our operations team handles the job. You stay close to the partner and work with operations and leadership to make sure the outcome reflects well on both of you.
4. Repeat and expand. A partner who's had a good experience sends the next job, and the one after that. Meanwhile, you're already working on the next relationship.
Over months, those partners add up to predictable, recurring deal flow that you built and that stays in your protected territory.
Who You'll Call On
• Plumbers, HVAC companies, and general contractors
• Multifamily owners and commercial property groups
• Property and facility managers
• Insurance agents and adjusters
• Senior living communities and healthcare facilities
Day to Day, You'll Be…
• Hunting for new referral partners and commercial accounts, and farming the ones you've already won
• Booking and holding in-person meetings throughout the territory
• Presenting our emergency response capabilities and explaining mitigation and restoration services to partners and clients
• Showing up at association events, networking functions, and some after-hours industry gatherings
• Logging activity, pipeline, and follow-up in CRM so nothing slips
• Coordinating with operations and leadership on customer outcomes
You'll be supported by a proven system for building referral pipelines and by leadership that understands sales. The activity that drives results is yours to own.
This Fits Someone Who…
• Would rather build a book of business that grows over time than start over every year
• Is comfortable walking in cold and starting a territory from zero
• Follows up reliably without being reminded
• Thinks strategically about where to spend time
• Is coachable but doesn't need constant direction
• Communicates and presents well with business owners and managers
This role is not a fit for someone who wants leads handed to them or prefers short, one-call sales cycles.
