Salary:  £33,000 , Permanent role.   Start date:   September 202 7

Location:   Based within the   Anglian   Water   Huntingdon area with occasional visits to Peterborough .    Please note your placements   and final   role   may vary across the region and   departments,   so flexibility is essential.

Your programme

As part of our Finance and Regulation Graduate Programme,   you'll   help shape the future of water services across the East of England. Working at the centre of some of the industry's biggest challenges,   you'll   support decisions that balance customer affordability, environmental   ambition   and long-term investment.

Whether you join our Finance or Regulation pathway,   you'll   gain exposure to strategic decision-making, complex business challenges and projects that have a lasting impact on customers,   communities   and the environment. From day one,   you'll   work on real projects that influence how Anglian Water invests billions of pounds to improve services, protect the environment and deliver long-term value.

Finance Graduates will develop their commercial and analytical   expertise   through exposure to areas such as financial controls and accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, investment   appraisal   and business planning.   You'll   help assess financial performance, evaluate investment   opportunities   and provide insights that support key business decisions.

Regulation Graduates will build an in-depth understanding of how the economic regulation of a water company   operates   in practice. The Regulation team sits at the heart of the business, connecting government policy, regulatory frameworks, business   planning   and investment delivery. Joining at a particularly exciting time for the water sector,   you'll   gain exposure to major regulatory reform, contribute to shaping the future of regulation, and support the development of our business plan for the 2029 Price Review.

Through a series of structured placements,   you'll   develop a broad understanding of Anglian Water while building the analytical, commercial and leadership skills needed to become one of our future experts and leaders. Supported by experienced colleagues and mentors,   you'll   take on meaningful responsibility, expand your professional   network   and develop the skills needed for a successful career in finance,   regulation   or wider business leadership.

You'll   have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a minimum 2:2 degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Geography, Engineering, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, or a closely related discipline by September 2027.

For this role,   you’ll   need to have obtained in the last 3 years or be studying towards a minimum 2:2 in   the preferred degree disciplines   and have graduated by September 2027 for the 2027 intake.
