We are seeking a skilled Commercial Electrician to install the electrical infrastructure supporting HVAC Controls and Building Automation Systems (BAS) throughout the Gulf Coast region.
This field-based position will focus on conduit installation, wire pulling, device termination, and control-panel installation across commercial, industrial, healthcare, educational, and municipal facilities.
Previous BAS or HVAC controls experience is not required. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced commercial electrician who wants to develop specialized skills in HVAC controls, building automation, and low-voltage control systems .
Responsibilities - Install EMT, rigid conduit, and electrical raceways for HVAC controls and BAS installations. - Bend and install primarily 3/4-inch EMT and rigid conduit , maintaining accurate layouts and high-quality workmanship. - Pull and terminate wiring for control panels, controllers, sensors, actuators, and other field devices. - Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, control drawings, and project specifications. - Assist with the installation, startup, testing, and commissioning of HVAC control panels and BAS equipment. - Coordinate with Controls Technicians, Project Managers, mechanical contractors, and other trades. - Troubleshoot installation issues and complete field modifications as required. - Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and an organized work area. - Follow OSHA requirements, company policies, and all applicable jobsite safety procedures. - Complete work safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard of quality.
Requirements - 3+ years of commercial electrical installation experience. - Strong hands-on experience bending and installing EMT and rigid conduit , particularly 3/4-inch conduit . - Experience working on commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, or similar construction projects. - Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and construction documents. - Experience with wire pulling, device termination, control-panel wiring, and commercial electrical installations. - HVAC controls, BAS, or low-voltage controls experience is preferred but not required . - Residential-only electrical experience will not meet the requirements for this position. - Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality workmanship. - Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout the Gulf Coast region. - Willingness to learn HVAC controls, BAS technology, and building automation systems.
