🔹 Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Senior Systems Engineer with strong cloud and container expertise. In this role, you will be a key contributor to managing, automating, and scaling our enterprise Linux environments, hosted primarily on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and orchestrated via OpenShift or Kubernetes .
The ideal candidate bridges the gap between modern cloud architecture and robust system administration. If you have deep Linux expertise , hands-on AWS experience , and a passion for managing containerized workloads at scale, we want you on our team.
🔎 Key Responsibilities - Cloud Architecture & Support: Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure utilizing core AWS services (EC2, EKS, IAM, S3). - Container Orchestration: Manage, scale, and optimize production Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes clusters (including AWS-managed solutions like EKS). - Linux Platform Management: Administer, configure, and fine-tune enterprise Linux operating systems (RedHat/Oracle Linux, Ubuntu) for optimal cloud performance. - Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Drive automation by provisioning and managing AWS resources using Terraform or Ansible. - Monitoring & Cost Optimization: Implement robust cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting systems while proactively optimizing AWS resource usage and costs. - Security & Compliance: Enforce cloud security best practices, handling OS hardening, AWS IAM policies, and network security groups. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Dev and DevOps teams to ensure smooth application deployment pipelines and infrastructure resilience.
✅ Qualifications & Experience - Experience: 5 years of experience in Systems Engineering or Cloud Operations role. - AWS Expertise: Proven track record of configuring and managing production workloads in AWS environments . - Linux Proficiency: Advanced administration skills, deep understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing), and strong scripting abilities (Bash, Python). - Containerization: Hands-on experience orchestrating containers with OpenShift or Kubernetes in enterprise settings. - Automation Tools: Practical experience with infrastructure automation tools, specifically Terraform and Ansible . - Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a strong track record of troubleshooting complex cloud and container infrastructure issues.
✅ Preferred Attributes - Certifications: AWS Certified SysOps Administrator / Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Red Hat certifications (RHCE). - CI/CD Tools: Familiarity with modern deployment pipelines (GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD). - Cloud Networking: Advanced knowledge of AWS networking components, Transit Gateways, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
