Our Newest Opportunity:  Summary: The HCM Platform & Benefits Specialist serves as a subject matter expert responsible for supporting the implementation, configuration, and ongoing administration of HCM platforms and employee benefit programs for ASO and PEO clients.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring successful client onboarding, accurate system configuration, seamless open enrollment experiences, and ongoing benefits administration support. The position combines technical platform expertise, benefits administration knowledge, and operational discipline to deliver a consistent, high-quality client experience.

Unlike a traditional benefits administrator role, this position extends beyond transactional benefits support and functions as a platform specialist, implementation partner, and operational resource. The HCM Platform & Benefits Specialist helps establish scalable processes, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and contributes to the long-term growth of the HCM Managed Services division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

HCM Platform Configuration & Implementation

- Configure HCM platforms, benefit plans, deductions, eligibility rules, workflows, and employee self-service functionality

- Support new client implementations, including benefits setup, testing, validation, and go-live activities

- Assist with system conversions, data imports, and platform configuration audits

- Partner with implementation consultants, payroll teams, and client service teams to ensure successful client onboarding

- Troubleshoot configuration issues and recommend solutions that align with established standards

- Maintain implementation documentation, setup guides, and platform configuration standards

Benefits Administration & Open Enrollment

- Configure and manage annual open enrollment projects for client organizations

- Build and maintain benefit plans, carrier connections, eligibility rules, and deduction structures

- Support carrier integrations, enrollment file feeds, and eligibility reporting processes

- Conduct audits of enrollment records, payroll deductions, and benefits-related system data

- Assist internal teams and clients with benefits related questions, escalations, and troubleshooting pertaining to HRIS administration

- Support special enrollment events, plan changes, and ongoing system maintenance activities

- Coordinate with brokers, carriers, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate benefits administration

Documentation, Training & Operational Excellence

- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process maps, and training materials

- Create documentation that promotes consistency and scalability across the HCM Managed Services team

- Train internal team members on platform functionality, benefits processes, and best practices

- Identify opportunities for automation, process improvement, and operational efficiency

- Participate in quality assurance reviews and operational improvement initiatives

- Serve as a subject matter expert for supported HCM platforms and benefits administration processes

Key Strategic Alignment This role directly supports organizational priorities by:

- Enhancing client onboarding experiences through accurate and efficient platform configuration

- Supporting client retention through reliable benefits administration and service excellence

- Creating scalable implementation and administration processes that support company growth

- Reducing operational risk through quality assurance, documentation, and process discipline

- Building institutional knowledge through training, documentation, and operational standardization

- Supporting the long-term development of a centralized HCM Center of Excellence

Education, Training and Experience:

- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration, HRIS, payroll, HCM, PEO, ASO, or related environments

- Experience configuring HCM, payroll, or benefits administration platforms

- Strong understanding of employee benefits administration and open enrollment processes

- Experience supporting multi-client service environments

- Knowledge of ACA, COBRA, Section 125, and general employee benefits concepts

- Experience with platforms such as isolved, PrismHR, UKG, ADP, Paylocity, Paycom, Workday, or similar systems

- Experience supporting implementations, onboarding projects, or system conversions

- Strong organizational and project management skills

Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance.
